Meet Jameson Tank: Musician, Band Leader and Podcaster

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jameson Tank and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jameson, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Even from a young age, It seemed like an obvious decision for me. I was the kid who was drawing up plans for a lemonade stand during class in elementary school. In high school, I had several jobs but could not stand the idea of working for someone else. This lead to my eventual revelation that the only way I was going to be happy was working for myself. I knew music was what I was supposed to be doing, and now I am full-steam ahead on making it a career.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
For our music, the thing I am most excited about is finding our own sound. Almost all of my currently released music is from my days as a solo artist, so I look forward to finding a blend of sounds that represents us as musicians. I also am very much looking forward to taking our live act across the states. I can speak for every member of the group when I say that we are all looking forward to playing as many towns, venues, pubs, hole-in-the-walls as possible. Playing live makes everything feels right, makes all the practicing and hard work worth it.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to Furnace 41 In Jonesboro, It is one of the coolest rock venues in town. Great selection of live music to pick from and Great food too.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Firstly, I would like to note what a relief it is to have found the perfect bandmates. This past December I was joined by Bryce Burnette, Conner Ankerich and Jaiver Solorzano – which officially became Jameson Tank (2.0). Before they joined the group, I was just wandering back and forth between temporary musicians on different paths. Upon joining, they pushed my songwriting, stage presence and musicianship to the next level. I look forward to making music with them for a very long time.
