We had the good fortune of connecting with Eric Whiteside and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Eric, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Whiteside Tactical Solutions began with the community in mind. Eric Whiteside saw a need within the community to teach people important life saving skills so that they could be the first line of defense for themselves as well as for their family members. The mission of Whiteside Tactical Solutions is to develop and implement programs that support both medical awareness and injury prevention while ensuring optimal patient outcomes in the chain of survival. We know that in most cases the quickest an ambulance can arrive on scene is going to be seven to ten minutes but a person can bleed to death in three to five minutes. Our aim is to teach as many people as possible how to effectively STOP the bleed, CPR, AED use, and how to use radios for communication while simultaneously decreasing the amount of preventable deaths and disabilities by first preventing the injury through education. Which is the reason why education is the cornerstone of everything we do at Whiteside Tactical Solutions.

What should our readers know about your business?
Eric, is an effective and impactful educator with over eighteen years of teaching experience in diverse sciences and health sciences arenas. Eric also has numerous degrees in applied electronics, biology, exercise science as well as in education. He is certified in every course offered through Whiteside Tactical Solutions. He started Whiteside Tactical Solutions in 2020 during the height of the pandemic as he observed more people buying firearms and observed the lack of education going along with those purchases. What sets our business apart from others similar to ours is that Eric and Candace both are actual classroom teachers which lends them to being able to touch all of the different learning styles in their courses. Also Eric works as a paramedic and D.O, Whiteside is a board certified doctor in Internal Medicine. The three of them together make for a powerhouse team who not only have the knowledge but who know how to share that knowledge with others.

We are most proud of the success we have had in the last year. In April of 2023 we really decided to go after it with our first Emergency Preparedness Day and it was a success. In the past year alone we have certified over 385 people in the Department of Defense STOP the Bleed program. While the business is still technically in its infancy and we push everyday to bring our skills to everyone we come in contact with. It’s not easy breaking into the industry because our primary focus is education which does not bring the same entertainment level. Our primary challenge is just getting the audience to engage in the courses we offer. Each and every time it happens people walk away feeling so confident and that is why we continue to strive to do what we do.

Along the way we have learned to not shrink just because we may be the newest in the room. We want the world to know that the skills we are teaching can not only change your life but ultimately save it.
