We had the good fortune of connecting with EmCee’ Jazz’ Thomas-Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi EmCee’ Jazz’, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
One of the most important factors behind the success of Platinum Media Network – #Streetz989ATL, is today’s technology, innovation, and accessibility. With the internet and cell phone as the driving force, the ability to bring information, interviews, and music as often as desired. As an Online – Mobile Media Ministry Broadcast Platform, we have the ability to be accessible through our “Mobile Media Coverage,” and our “Music Publicist Platform” – we offer several full service packages.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We began as “Motivating & Inspiring the Next Generation X” in 2010 following EmCee’ Jazz’ completing her degree in Intregrative Studies & Communications/Media Studies, Clayton State University, where she served as “General Manager” @ Clayton State Internet Radio. At that time our Mobile Media & Ministry Services streamed via BlogTalk Radio, for a period of time then we revamped our Platform. With the advancement of technology we begin offering more services adding our “Music Publicist Platform” which is dedicated to “Independent Artist” giving them the Exposure necessary in expanding their music and career.
We then became “Platinum Radio Network” which is now “Platinum Media Network” streaming on “All” Social Media Platforms – Spreaker, IHeartRadio, Spotify, Youtube, and Facebook Live. The competition is tough in “Mobile Broadcast Media” but staying abreast with new techniques, technology, and networking with valuable sources make us stand above the others when it comes to Mobile Media. We are Freelance Journalists, Red Carpet Hosts, we cover – Community Impact Events, Interview Community Leaders, Politicians, Clergy, Entertainers, and others. We continue to see our connections, and numbers excel on all Social Media Platforms.
As an Ordained Minister – Evangelist Jazz’ provide the following services, prayer, bereavement, funerals, house blessings, christening, and weddings.
We are a Worldwide & On Demand Platform – #Streetz989ATL – Streaming 24/7
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
One of the favorite spots for hanging out in the City is “Tequila & Tacos” located near Ponce City Market. The food is always delicious and the atmosphere is relaxing even with everyone talking – the music is of course Mexican, but I really appreciate different genres of music. Since this is near Ponce City Market, we usually take a walk on the BeltLine and walk through the Market. It’s always a fun time, and the City view is so refreshing after a nice dinner with friends and family.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to give a Shoutout to the late great “Civil Rights Legend & Icon” Rev/Dr. C. T. Vivian, for the “vision program” he created which is now known as the Upward Bounds Program. A program designed to provide under-privilege high school students with opportunities to attend college, and learn skills to propel their futures. Because of this program I was able to attend Albany State University while attending Monroe Comprehensive High School, in Albany, Ga. The program gave me the ability to work on computers when no one could afford one except a government agency, or institution. Having the ability to see the vision – that one day – the computer would be a great part of our lives, this is where it all began.
