We had the good fortune of connecting with Ebony Shinelle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ebony, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success and the success of my brand would be Self Awareness and Self Love. When you are building a business it’s easy to get distracted by others, most times accidental but we tend to lose focus on our goals focused on someone else’s. In order to be successful internally and externally Self Awareness has been an important factor because no one can truly know your power and strength from the outside. You have to know who you are and what you bring to the table or people will try and tell you who you are. Self Love is another important factor because ‘hurt people, hurt people’ both in love and in business. When you lead with self love and appreciation you give off Love and Appreciation to others you encounter. 

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Ebony Shinelle, CEO with over 18 years of an extensive Corporate background, beginning in New York’s Summer Youth Employment Program (S.Y.E.P) in 1998 and gaining experience at various operational levels and working my way up to the corporate level, becoming a “corporate drop out” in 2018 leaving a salary behind to gain experience, network and build strong business relationships as an entrepreneur. Now the owner of EBONY INC. A PUBLIC RELATIONS Co.; a full service Public Relations company and ForEver DOPE Management Inc. a creative projects/productions management and publishing company both servicing the Entertainment, Fashion and Non – Profit Industries. “A leader in “millennial” – style strategic Public Relations dedicated free thinkers, unique talents and who want it now!” I am dedicated to honesty, image building and audience retention; and doing away with “ploys”. I work with my clients to develop creative and organic ways to ensure their message is clear and visions are received by their audience. Since 2014, I have worked with several entertainers and fashion brands. I continue to evolve and develop my brand in order to support creatives, while aligning my brand with colleagues in the industries that support my clients. My intentions to curate talent and individuality, combined with traditional and non traditional Project Management tactics, I am able to stay afloat with various market trends and support the balance of inclusion and individuality throughout various projects. “She’s So NY” – I Am The Team EBONY INC. A PUBLIC RELATIONS Co. was founded in The Bronx, NY , March 2014. I got my start in music public relations, consulting and developing upcoming artists in the underground New York music scene. With self promotion and networking, I started attracting clients locally, regionally, national and internationally by early 2016 before relocating to Atlanta, GA to expand my brand. Well known for my work ethic and out of the box thinking; I achieved success by providing understanding, passion, dedication into achieving success. ForEver DOPE Management, Inc. founded in Atlanta, GA, January 2018. I recognized a need for creatives struggling to “figure it out” on their own. I started FDM to become that right hand to creatives. Offering various project & production management support as a service. ForEver DOPE Management Inc. and EBONY INC. A PUBLIC RELATIONS Co. work as “sister” entities. Initiating business relationships and services on an introductory level providing Consulting, Activation and Brand Management services that graduate into more established brand services such as Creative Projects Production, and Publishing Administration and Management Services. I am relentless and dedicated to “getting it done”no matter what. ForEver DOPE Management Inc. continues to be sought after and retained by many Independent brands. I bring inspiration and influence to the “Creative” within everyone I encounter.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
It would depend on the vibe If we were just taking in some cool spots I would take my friend on an Artsy Weekend. Brunch in Little Five Points A walk around into crystal shops and through Euclid Ave. shopping by Caroline Street Dinner from Shane’s BBQ to go. If we’re looking to have a more luxurious weekend. Brunch near Lenox Mall Some shopping at Lenox Some Massages at Treat Your Feet Buckhead Dinner at Ruth Chris A more music filled day Afternoon walk by Centennial Park Tour of Downtown Peachtree Change into Club / Party clothes Dinner /Drinks and Music on Edgewood Ave. Party on Edgewood Atlanta has something for everyone, anytime for any occasion.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to credit and give a shout-out to singer and songwriter, Noelle Kay. My first best friend and cousin she inspires me every single day. Her spirit, her gifts and talents are so radiant and a blessing to the world. She has been dedicated and passionate about her music career for as long as I can remember. Taping into acting and modeling has shown not only myself but her fans new and #TeamNoelleKay that she’s got talent and it’s unlimited. I also shoutout all the independent creatives that I have has the pleasure of working with. From activations and concepts to full productions and entertainment products I consider #ForEverDOPE . They inspire me to be creative and expressive in my own lane.
