We had the good fortune of connecting with Diana Padron and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Diana, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process was that I was getting older and I needed sustainability for my family. I had four kids and I wanted to figure out how to pay for college for my children and what would happen to me as I grew older. I wanted to live the American dream of living my life on my terms. I was 40 years old and I never lived my life for me. I didn’t want to live my life with any regret of being that old lady, in a wheelchair, wishing she had lived a more adventurous life at her young age and taken more risks.

What should our readers know about your business?
I have a CBD Dispensary located in Avondale and Chamblee. We specialize in CBD and hemp wellness products for relaxation and pain relief. We specialize in customer service. we build a rapport based on their needs and recommend a product to help them with their health needs. The products can be psychoactive or non-psychoactive. As a master herbalist, we take the time to understand a customer’s health process and continue to help with our best interest in hand by asking questions and guiding them to the correct product. I am most proud of having two locations coming from being a single mom and being on welfare. I’m excited about my future endeavors; building a stronger future in my business and upgrading my status as a businesswoman. Getting to this status of having two CBD dispensaries took a lot of courage. Opening my first store was a big feat while learning how to maintain and make sure that my store was well taken care of. As a black woman, I had to earn the respect of multiple people in this very male-dominated industry, that were not open to working with me. There were times I was the only woman in the room at a Hemp Convention. I had to fight through my imposter syndrome. lesson that I learned is that perseverance is key. Every day that I came to the store, I showed up for myself and I was living my dream. I want the world to know that we are the best CBD dispensary in Atlanta. We are very welcoming and we will do our best to help anyone with their health needs and wants.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite spot in the city would be the Belt Line. I love to walk at night and enjoy the beautiful city lights. The people I meet on the belt line are very kind and inviting. they are always helping others who are new to Atlanta. I love Stone Mountain as well, it’s great for exercise and hiking.
My favorite spot to eat would be 6 Feet Under. They are a fish house and pub. Their dishes are to die for.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Ashleigh Green! My wonderful cousin helped me build my store by visiting me for two weeks and helping me design and build my store from scratch.
