We had the good fortune of connecting with Diamond Berryhill and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Diamond, what’s the most difficult decision you’ve ever had to make?
Coming into the entrepreneur world, I expected it to be an overnight success. I was never really taught the in’s and out’s of having a solid business. The most difficult decision I had to make was shutting down my business and moving back home after being on my own since I was a senior in college. I’ve scarified my nearly entire lifestyle for my dreams and goals. It’s been almost 2 years since i’ve made that decision and I am just now starting seeing the fruits of my labor. I am saying that to say, success is not overnight process. Your goals and dreams is not an overnight process. I have my days where I kick, scream, cry, and shutdown but then I remember, God didn’t bring me this far to fail me. Enjoy the pain of the process because your purpose is worth it!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am the owner and founder 0f Hibeyoute. My brand is a reminder to the girls to be their own kind of beautiful. Everything that looks right on the next will not always look right on you and everything that looks right on you will not always look right the next. I am most proud of the actual progress of my brand since launching. Though I am still molding my brand and nurturing it to be the brand I envision, I am super grateful for the process. My brand is nowhere near the end goal. I have gotten this far by sacrificing and learning to be the authentic version of myself. My brand is genuine because I am genuine. My brand is a reflection of me which means I have to constantly evolve and make sure I am functioning at my highest everyday. Everyday is not a great day but the benefits of pushing through and showing up outweighs why I felt like giving up in the first place. One of my biggest lessons was to stay true to myself. When you are breaking generational curses, your life looks strange to others and make them uncomfortable. Do not change who you are nor belittle yourself to make others comfortable. Live by your own rules and stay true to your dreams.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The book “You Can Heal Your Life” by Louise Hay really changed my life. This book played a big part in my life which has contributed to my success not only in my personal life but my business life as well.
