Meet Definitely D | Rising Christian Rapper & Airman

We had the good fortune of connecting with Definitely D and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Definitely, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Keeping Christ at the center, the sole reason I’m within this industry is because I submitted to the will of God instead of my own. Anything of strength has to have a foundation, part of the reason I’ve reached this point is because instead of betting on myself I believe and lean on him that gives me strength .

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I go by Definitely D — I’m a Christian rapper and I serve in the military. Two worlds most people wouldn’t expect to collide, but for me, they’re both part of the same mission. I represent Pensacola, Florida, raised deep in the Bible Belt, with southern roots that run generations deep.
My sound is southern-based, no doubt — but I don’t box myself in. I like to keep my instrumentals and cadences diverse, reaching people from all walks of life. Some tracks hit hard, others speak to the soul — but every one of them points back to Jesus. I’m not just making music; I’m telling my story, sharing what I’ve learned, and giving glory to the One who saved me.
Getting here wasn’t easy. Truth is, most people would’ve folded if they had to walk the road I did. But I couldn’t quit. I stayed faithful. I believed that if I kept going, the message would reach who it needed to. This is my cross to carry, and by the grace of God, I’m still carrying it. I’ve learned how to walk by faith and not by sight — even when things didn’t make sense, I trusted that God had a purpose in it all.
I’m just a brother from around the way, trying to be real about where I’ve been and who brought me through. I rep Christ first, and right after that, I rep where I come from — Quarters — the same street my family has lived on for three to four generations. It’s more than a name; it’s my foundation, my reminder of who I do this for.
This isn’t about trends or going viral — it’s about impact. About giving hope, speaking truth, and showing people that God still changes lives.
The Dirty South raised me. And like I always say…
The Souf got something to say.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
A Day in the Pcola Life: My Go-To Spots Back Home
If you ever find yourself in Pensacola, especially on my side of Uptown (North Pensacola), I gotta put you on game. First stop? Phillies. Hands down, one of my favorite spots. I won’t lie — I’m a cheesesteak fan through and through, and Phillies never misses.
Now if you’re trying to catch a vibe, you gotta make your way out to the beach outside the city. Whether you’re strolling the boardwalk, posted up with some food, or just watching the waves — it’s a must. And listen, if you really want to experience Florida the right way? You gotta get a sub from Publix. Trust me — it’s a rite of passage.
Brown Bagger? Fire. Great food, no fluff — just real flavor. I’ll be honest with you — I’m a foodie, so if you know any spots I need to try, don’t hold out on me. I’m always down to explore new grub.
For a good community vibe, check out Gallery Night downtown. It’s one of those nights where the whole city feels like it’s outside — music, art, food, culture — just a good time to kick it in the neighborhood and show love. One thing though: make sure you speak to people. Down here, courtesy matters. A head nod, a “how you doin’?” — that’s just how we were raised.
If you catch me off duty, you might find me at Dreamland Skating Rink — I’m always down to roll a little. Or maybe even posted up with a fishing pole, just soaking in the peace. Truth is, it’s not always about doing the most. Sometimes the best moments are just sitting on the porch, enjoying the weather, talking life, laughing at stories, and being present.
It’s all about what you’re into, but trust me — around here, we’ll always find something to do… even if it’s just kicking back and being grateful.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
All Glory to God — I’m Just a Vessel
First and foremost — all glory goes to Christ and Christ alone. Everything I am, everything I do, and every door that’s opened has been by His grace. I don’t take a single moment of this journey for granted. Also, Pensacola in the house!!
Looking back, I’m beyond grateful for the ones who believed in me early on — back home, where this all started. You saw something in me before the world ever heard a bar. That kind of belief can’t be bought, and it kept me going when things got heavy.
To my brothers who held me down in the UK — you don’t even know how much your support has meant. Being away from home isn’t easy, but y’all made it feel like I wasn’t alone. I pray God opens every door you’ve been waiting on — and then some.
Shoutout to my church for always covering me in prayer, holding me accountable, and reminding me of the bigger picture. And to my family, thank you for riding with me — not just when the music sounded good, but when life got loud and messy too.
They say it takes a village — and maybe that’s true — but in my case, I’m here because of the Kingdom. The support, the prayers, the love, the push — it’s all been God through His people. I’m just a vessel trying to make Him known.
