Meet Deanna Beckett | Nail Technician

We had the good fortune of connecting with Deanna Beckett and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Deanna, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I chose to pursue an artistic and creative career because its it really who I am, artistic and creative. The beauty of being a nail tech is that it has both an artistic and creative career. Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved anything artistic. Art has always been my life, and I see it everywhere. So, by becoming a nail technician, I can explore both my creative and artistic sides. From nail art to just a simple nail color, you can achieve so much art. I consider my client’s nails as my mini blank canvas. Hey, I always believed in my past life; I was an artist. When I am creating nail art, I allow myself to become one with the art that I am creating. I let my creative juices influence the artist in me. I always tell my clients, “nail art is the key to your statement.” My artistic side gets to play with so many different colors and methods that allow me to be the creator of a masterpiece. I love being a nail technician. I can achieve many different looks for any occasion. Turning this into a career allowed me to experience new things that I never imagined I would be able to achieve. This career allows me to not only live my dream as an artist but to change people’s lives as well by creating unforgettable experiences. To be a nail artist, I think it’s the best career I have chosen. I would tell anyone looking for a way to express their creative or artistic side to become a nail tech, you get the best of both worlds.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I think the thing that I am most excited about is creating art that makes my clients happy. What sets me apart from other nail techs is my passion for nails, and I love creating new works of art, even if it is just a simple polish. I consider myself a personal nail tech and ensure all my clients feel beyond amazing with my services.  What got me where I am today professionally is hard work and dedication, along with the support of my family. It wasn’t easy. I can say that I am still growing every day. When I am faced with challenges, I solve them with solutions. Just getting up every day and telling myself that I am doing this for a better cause helps me face challenges that might arise. Some lesson that I learned along the way is that everything takes time. This career has definitely taught me patience. I am a constant learner, I am never not practicing and learning to cultivate my skills and the craft. Even when I think I am at one level, I’m pushing myself to get to the next level. I want to world to know that DeeNailAssassin is the new nail revolution. I am always about nail health, and that is what matters the most. I am a nail tech specializing in everything from acrylics, gels to custom blinged out or not, nail art sets. I consider myself a nail tech who centers on the desire to take a personalized approach to every client.  I want to help and inspire them to bring out their creative and artistic side outwardly, through the designs I am able create based on their desires. The collective approach and process is important to me.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Now, if she just wants to chill and relax, we will go to the therapy lounge; we love their taco Tuesdays! 

If we wanted to spice things up, we might go to a range of places like the republic lounge. Our favorite brunch spot on Sundays is folk art Atlanta. one of the best omelets I have ever had. If we want to connect to mother nature, then a visit to Piedmont Park, and the botanical gardens are a must-see. 

It is so many things to do in Atlanta, from the Georgia Aquarium to six flags over Georgia. Hey, you can even ride the Skyview Ferris wheel.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my shout-out to my family. Without them, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I want to thank them for always being there and understanding my vision. My family is my support system, and I am so grateful for everyone in my life. I want to give a massive shout-out to my four fantastic children. They are why I chase my dreams every day and want to show them that they can accomplish anything they want. And finally, my love for always believing in and supporting my goal of becoming an entrepreneur.
