We had the good fortune of connecting with DB Bantino and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi DB, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Taking risk is one of the most important things to do in this career. For one, anybody that you ask for help in your journey is taking a risk on you. But most people won’t do that for you if they don’t believe you would do it for yourself. A lot of talented people work on their craft and wait for opportunities to come knocking on the door but they rarely reach those opportunities before less talented people who are willing to take risk.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Being creative is the easiest way for me to express myself. My social battery can die quickly and I just want to vibe alone. But I have experienced so much in my life that when im alone I get to make music that the world can relate to. So it gives me a way to connect with people while still being in my own bubble. I quickly realized that I won’t always be able to stay in that bubble because opportunities will come and you won’t be there. So gettin out and making things happen was what I had to do. My brand is Neverlanding and it embodies that mindset with the motto being “infinite elevation”.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I cant give away all of my secrets. I like exclusive things and the city has a lot to offer but you just have to know where to go. I would take them downtown to eat at a few of my favorite restaurants and then show them some of the music scene.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a shout out to all of the women that have played my music in public and shared with their friends. I believe they are what keeps things moving in my industry so to get so much support from women over the years makes me extremely thankful
