Meet Danekia Smith | Brand Builder, Influencer and Business Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Danekia Smith and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Danekia, other than deciding to work for yourself, what was the single most important decision you made that contributed to your success?
Hiring a coach and mentor to assist me along this journey. Your own knowledge can only take you but so far.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
From a degreed, overworked corporate America employee, Danekia has been a successful entrepreneur for half a decade. The young millennial, Danekia Smith , is a true testament to the power of an online business and how this business model has changed the way we do business. She has built her personal brand, into a multi-million dollar (annual sales) entity and leads 100’s of others nationwide. I have been very fortunate to have earned a number of degrees from various universities, but those degrees do not define or determine my success. As long as I’m maximizing my greatest gifts and talents, giving back to the world I am truly fulfilled.
Danekia is a woman who knows how to take a business from the ground running. She takes time to mentor and teach others along the way which is how she has been so successful. She is helping the next generation of leaders rise to the occasion. Pursue your passion; make an impact; create new opportunities; and ultimately, change the world.
She is helping other women realize they have the same power to grow their personal brand, their message and their business from a mobile device! The only difference is that they will be sharing a message that makes a tangible difference to other people’s lives.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am a lover and supporter of black businesses so most of the intinerary would include. Sunday we would hit up Golden Glide because I love to skate
Monday the Civil Rights Museum and grab lunch at Slutty Vegan
Tuesday Shopping at Atlantic Station and then Peter Street for the evening for food, drinks
Wenesday the Culture Experience Museum and lunch down the street at Husky’s
Thursday Paschals for lunch & Gurl Mobb Museum
Friday Top Golf
Saturday Trap Museum

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Nicola Smith-Jackson my personal coach and mentor over the last 6 years. Her leadership and guidance is the root to my success.
