We had the good fortune of connecting with Dan Castle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dan, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Very simply I had no choice. I was struggling with major lower back pain issues and plantar fasciitis and my spending with PT and Chiros was a disaster. Painkillers made me feel good for an hour and then I was back to my usual horrible pain. So i needed to create a solution that would fix me.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
After a decade helping public companies improve their sales and partnerships I received a call from Martha Stewart’s private equity partner in 2015. They explained to me they needed someone to come in and run her business and the catch is I had to also manage her. With a reputation of being tough to work for and always a perfectionist, they warned me this would be a challenge. It was the opposite. I enjoyed re-strategizing her image and brand and launching all new partnerships that would get her on TV more regularly but in a more fun and unpredictable way. So I signed her in a multi year deal with QVC and Amazon and we embraced a new concept called Martha & Snoop – The rest is history. Two years later the brand was successful again and Martha was happy and willing to take on all the challenges I sent her way. We worked side by side everyday and night traveling together and I learned so much from her. In 2018 I left NYC and moved to Atlanta to start a company that would be more important than anything I had ever done before because it would have the potential to help millions of people around the world in chronic pain.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Im born and raised in New York City so I gravitate towards those types of foods so Carlos Pizza and Brooklyn Bagels are my go to for lunch and dinner but Im also obsessed with good sushi so Umi would be where I would take someone for a fancy night out. The thing I love the most about Atlanta is the nature. To be in a big city that still has so much green and wildlife brings me comfort because NYC just doesnt have that. My favorite activities are walking and hiking with my Chow Chow (a gift from Martha Stewart) and my new German Shepard who never leaves my side. We call him velcro for this reason!

Going to Truist Park to eat and drink or catch a game is the best. I think this is the best stadium in the country because of the simple parking and retail set up. Its not as stressful as other stadiums like Citi Field or Yankees Stadium.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a shoutout to Dr. Sadri and the Atlanta Braves for being there for us and supporting our device since Day 1. If the doctors there didnt recommend it to Acuna Jr. for his ACL rehab it would have taken a LOT longer for people to find out about what this device can truly do for people with all sorts of injuries.
