We had the good fortune of connecting with Dallas Vella and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dallas, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
When I forced my efforts into other careers something inside of me was yearning for something more. I am very diligent, doing well in school and my previous careers, but I just wasn’t reaching that self actualized happiness without creative expression.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a multimedia artist focused primarily in photography and paint. My photos and paintings are vastly different in their expressions and vibes. My photography is collected from 34 countries around the world primarily rooted in landscapes, or cultural highlights from each location. My painting is much more emotionally driven and finds its spirit in the feminine physique/expression.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Ooof… I am a bit of a homebody and not the best to ask about this. I spend much of my time meditating, reading, and practicing my craft. If I were to recommend some spots I would take someone on a long walk near the river. I am also a huge fan of professional sports so of course we’d have to catch the dirty birds on Sunday. I’m sorry I’m not much of a help for the foodies reading this.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would have to give a shout out to my lovely friend Savannah Colleen. She’s a local tattoo artist who helped me on my spiritual awakening and new found confidence in my artistic ability.
