We had the good fortune of connecting with Cyntaesha Prather and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cyntaesha, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I thought it would hard and somewhat an impossible task. Not to mention financially scary. I had no idea on what starting a business even looked like.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Royal Hair Salon became an established business in 2015 in Greenville, Ga. I opened up my salon months after graduating cosmetology school. I have always to pride in my business. I held myself accountable and build a successful client base. I worked consistently for 4 years at this location until I felt like I had outgrew my area. My clientele was no longer familiar faces. People were driving hours to this small town just for me to service them. This was what made those hard days so much more with it. Moving forward in 2019 I decided to relocate to a more established city, Newnan Ga. I was back uncomfortable but this time I knew it was possible! I keep the same energy and worked hard. It wasn’t easy but well worth it. Just this year 2023 I open my first store front location. I faced a lot of challenges during the process. But accountability has help me face them head on. Royal Hair as a brand/business has been life changing. The growth will not stop here, the elevation continues. I
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First stop would be brunch. Breakfast at Barney’s. The food here is so good. Take a stroll and talk at Atlantic station. You have entertainment, food and drinks in one location. Day 2 relax and wind down at chateau elan. Full day of spa and relaxation. Day 3 a movie and dinner a ipic. Day 4 some adult fun at your your3spot. Day 5 more food and drinks at Poor Calvin.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My Mom. The dream and vision started with her. God allowed her to see the vision and she spoke life into it. She has always been right by my side though the entire process. She has always said that it was her dream to own her own business. God did it for me through you! (Her words) I just want to thank you mom for always being the genuine support I needed.
