Meet Coy Flynn | Director of Performance

We had the good fortune of connecting with Coy Flynn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Coy, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind our success, without a doubt comes from the amazing people who surround us. Our full-time staff and coaches who’s togetherness makes every day a great experience for anyone who walks into our home, the athletes who passionately train day after day working alongside each other towards their goals, our awesome interns who take initiative and never stop learning, to the families and friends who constantly support us. All these incredible people are the most important factor behind our success; and everyone shares in the success and that’s what makes it special.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My career started as I finished graduate school at Michigan State University in the year of 2020. I was very fortunate to have had a lot of different experiences during my time in college. Looking back I feel very happy and lucky for all of the incredible coaches and athletes who I was able to know, work with, and become friends with. I feel that same happiness when I think about our community at Pinnacle Performance, because our building is full of incredible people, coaches, athletes, and team/family-members. 

Our team takes all of our athletes through a complete full body assessment that consists postural analysis, range of motion testing, movement screening, and skill performance tests. From there we develop each athlete their own individual training program that is specific to them, and their goals and needs. Anyone who walks in becomes family to us, and we do our best to help our family the most every day.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Some of the most fun things around Atlanta are sporting events. The culture here is incredible. Even at the high school level, it’s really cool to see. We love going to watch all of our athletes play and compete. It’s always exciting to be there and support them. I would recommend to anyone to go and experience some of these great schools and their student-athletes.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
All of our athletes deserve a special shoutout for always putting their trust in us to help them reach and achieve their dreams and life goals, and for that we’re very grateful. Building what we have here at Pinnacle has been a fun and great experience. It’s also been a process of long days and hard work tackled by some very dedicated people, and sometimes that means sacrifices in other aspects of life. Special thanks also to all the immediate family members and friends of everyone in our building, because we could not be who we are without their continuing love and support as well.
