Hi Courtney, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting QuickPro Digital Marketing was a journey deeply rooted in my personal and professional experiences. Growing up as a first-generation American, with my parents from Jamaica and being raised by a strong, single mother, I witnessed firsthand the power of determination and hard work. I saw my mom strive tirelessly to provide for me and my brother, instilling in us the belief that with dedication and resilience, we could achieve our dreams.

This upbringing played a pivotal role in shaping my entrepreneurial spirit. I realized early on that I wanted to create something meaningful, something that would not only fulfill my ambitions but also empower others, especially small and medium-sized businesses, to reach their full potential. The digital space fascinated me – its ever-evolving nature and the boundless opportunities it presented for growth and innovation.

I combined my passion for web design and development with my desire to uplift others. If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting for a week, we’d dive into the heart of Atlanta’s culture and fun spots. We’d start with a breakfast at The Flying Biscuit Café – their shrimp and grits are the perfect way to kick off the day. Next, we’d check out some art and history at the High Museum of Art. For lunch, we’ll slide to Ponce City Market.

In the afternoon, we would explore the Atlanta BeltLine on scooters before heading out for dinner. When it came to dining, Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q will probably be our go-to place – you can’t say you’ve been to Atlanta without trying their amazing brisket.

Midweek, we’d relax in Piedmont Park, followed by a visit to the Atlanta Botanical Garden. Dinner at The Vortex in Little Five Points for burgers.

To wrap up the week, we’d visit Stone Mountain Park for some hiking or just enjoying the scenic views. It’s a great way to experience Atlanta’s natural beauty. We’d end the trip with dinner at The Sun Dial Restaurant, offering a panoramic view of the city – a perfect backdrop to reflect on a week filled with the best Atlanta has to offer.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
When it comes to the foundation of my success and the core principles of QuickPro Digital Marketing, I owe a huge shoutout to my mom. She’s been the driving force behind my journey. As a hardworking single mother, she faced life’s challenges with unwavering strength and determination. Her resilience deeply instilled in me the values of discipline, determination, and the relentless pursuit of excellence. Her example taught me that with dedication and hard work, any dream can become a reality.

This lesson from my mother greatly influences how I approach web design and support for businesses at QuickPro.
