We had the good fortune of connecting with Courtney Aiken and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Courtney, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I’ve always had a heart to help and serve others. In 2010, I began to volunteer and assist people with their projects, events and, if necessary, travel with them. It always brought me joy to see their success. During this time, I began to discover my gifts and talents that could bring me resources, and in 2016, decided to open up my agency. The mission of The ShowKase Agency is to bring your vision into fruition.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
The ShowKase Agency is a project, event and brand management firm. Our 3 core principles are to operate with integrity, treat your vision with care, and guarantee expansion. What sets The ShowKase Agency apart from others in our industry is that we treat every client’s vision as it if were our own. While we give strategies to clients for success, we also execute them. In our nearly five years of existence, we have been able to retain some of our original clientele and expand our clientele nationally and internationally. There have been many ups and downs, but we’ve never quit. In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic impacted many of our contracts, and rather than shutting down, we decided to shift and expand. Since the beginning of 2021, business has been non stop. My personality and work ethic are what has gotten me and my company to this point. I remember a time when many people said that I wouldn’t be successful because I’m too nice and sweet, but those attributes have been the game changer for me, as many of my clients believe those traits balance them out, and represent their brands in a positive manner as I am usually the first point of contact that many of their customers/clientele encounter. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that sometimes, you don’t need to stop, but reset and shift. Your vision will only go as far as you grow!
