We had the good fortune of connecting with Christopher Cater and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christopher, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The business and idea called me. I was comfortable just helping my family and friends with technology and selling it for my profession. When I started getting approached by strangers who liked my personality and knew I was skilled in technology, it just made sense to make it an official business. Fast forward all these years later, and I am still doing the same thing is I was going before the LLC. Now I get to do it representing and building my own brand.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My professional career is deeply integrated into Teach Me Tech. From the process I follow to the software I use and the way I interact with leads and customers. My occupational path has been an amazing ride of challenges and growth. I didn’t graduate from college but I did have a different job almost every year during the time most people in their early 20s attend school. I used that time to learn many parts of life and the people I’ve met and things I was able to do has giving me the experience I needed to compete in the workplace with others who have a more formal education,
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was coming to visit, I would without a doubt look to an Instagram page named @atlbrunchspots to find the best places to eat. That page has so many great options for many different people. For an adventure, I love the great outdoors so I am hoping they would be willing to take a trip with me to see some of the beautiful creeks, waterfalls, and mountains Georgia has to offer. It’s a great getaway from the busy City.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’ve had so much support to get me to where I am now. It’s a huge reason why I try to give back my time, effort, and resources whenever I can. I want to first thank my parents for allowing me so much time on the family computer growing up. Customizing, breaking, then fixing it allowed me to understand how things work and makes me the trainer I am today. From a business perspective, Julian Maddox and John O’Brien have both played a major role helping me understand how to navigate in the business world. I could go on forever on the impact those two men had on my life but I wanted to take the time to at least say thank you to them
