We had the good fortune of connecting with Charles Clark and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Charles, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Staying to true to myself and the direction of what God has prepared for me. My family has also become the newest important factor too.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’d like to to again credit my parents for allowing me at as early as 5 years old to be all in musically. I was a part of church choirs, the community choir and even the Show Choir as I go to Middle School. I’d have to say if it wasn’t for them allowing me to cultivate my gift, then there’s realistically be no Charles Clark. However, I was dedicated and had the passion too so I put a lot of work into my craft. In the development stage it’s never easy. You’re trying to find yourself, adjust to the worlds culture and be so many things but yourself. I think that’s the war that many aspiring upcoming artist and brands have a problem with. That process wasn’t easy for me at all. I had to really find myself and what ultimately worked for ME! I learned how to take wisdom and wise counsel from those I trusted, but still do what is true to me. I’d like the world to know that the who you see and what you hear is me making it and still making it through MY OWN PROCESS.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Bowling is probably the most fun and competitive thing I like to do. Definitely trying some different and new restaurants. Whatever the most popular and fun attractions are to that particular place, we are there.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to say my parents for believing in me at such a young age. They allowed me to be expressive of myself musically however I needed to.
