Hi Carla, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
At any point in my life when things happen and I think about the risk I have to take. I honestly have to really think because I also have three daughters that it can affect in the long run. I basically write out the pros and cons. Taking risks has changed my life so much. I just feel if you don’t do it how will you truly know if it’ll work out or not if that makes sense to you.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I started my business back in May 2018 and at first I honestly didn’t know what i was doing. Didn’t know anything about business and went full force. It wasn’t hard for me to come up with my business name because its named after my girls. I’ve always had a passion for beauty, hair, skin but never took it seriously until now. When i first started out i started selling lashes shortly after I attended beauty school to be a cosmetologist. I was finding my purpose and also figuring out business life. 2018 til now my business has changed tremendously and i love it. I’ve gone through different challenges in my business when it came down to picking the right vendors , pricing , packaging, websites and testing out ingredients but you know that’s just how business works. Since then I’ve added skincare to my brand because i want to bring awareness to us mothers that don’t really find the time to do self care because their daily life is so busy as it is. I figured if i created natural skincare products that they can use at home without booking appts etc it’s all in the comfort of their home. It’ll be much easier for them to take 30-40 mins on a Saturday or Sunday whatever time works for them to relax and enjoy the amora and hydrated skin. The most thing i am proud of is the connections i build with my customers and it shows how much my skincare products really solve a problem in their everyday life. The lessons I’ve learned along the way with this being my fourth year is to not be hard on yourself and enjoy the journey. At one point i was worried about being perfect and honestly who is ? Everyone’s story is different. If there was anything that someone can take away about me, my brand or story is to never ever give up on yourself. Know your worth and do not live in fear. No one is perfect and everyone has their own life purpose and along the way you will find it trust me.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting Atlanta for a week long overdue trip the first place i have in mind is Nana chicken waffles. Honestly we’ve been there together already and it’s a must place for us to brunch when she’s in town. Other than that we must hit up the MALL because who would we be if we didn’t stop at zara lol. My bestie is really adventurous so I’d definitely have some brunch spots in the city to eat at, Atv riding , Escape room , Top golf. I love trying and doing new things i’ve never done before. I am all about the experience and that’s what matters the most to me.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d love to dedicate my shoutout to my beautiful daughters Amirah, Chloe & Miliana and my wonderful man. Anything i do In life is always for them and  It’s like a rush of motivation because I know greater is always ahead. I’ll also like to dedicate my shoutout to my family, friends, teachers that always root for me.
