We had the good fortune of connecting with Candice Cunningham Scott and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Candice, what’s your definition for success?
Success is something that can be different to everyone. To me it means that you are happy every day (for the most part we are human after all) doing what you do. That you feel like you make a living and have a career not just a job you do. I think there is a difference. I also feel like there is alot in your day to day that breeds success, whether it is how you interact with others and their perception of you to how you feel when you go to sleep at night. If those things are mostly positive then I think that is success too. Making decent money doesn’t hurt either!
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I love what I do. I work with women to help them find the best version of themselves through fitness, nutrition and adding in inflammation reducing practices and self care as well as cycle syncing for their workouts and food to help with hormonal balance. I was driven to this from my own struggles with RA and hormonal problems and love getting to help others now with things that helped me. Throughout this journey there has been multiple ups and downs along the way. Highs and lows, but each part brought me a little further from what I was learning through it. Now I get to help women all over the world virtually and some in person with my programs. I love seeing them succeed, see them happier and reaching weight loss and life goals.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love actually going to North GA to the wineries up there in the fall and spring. I also love going to the beltline to walk and stop at shops and bars along the way to get outdoors and enjoy the city. My favorite restaurants would have to be Superica, Optimist and Little Alley.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have to give a shout out to my former boss Ethan who always pushed me and gave me chances to be my best.
