We had the good fortune of connecting with Caleb Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Caleb, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
Two things I like to live by are: 1. “Orbis non Sufficit”
2. “Regret is Unprofessional”

Starting with “Orbis non Sufficit” is Latin for The world is not enough. Meaning no matter what is offered to me if it doesn’t Align with my beliefs and goals it doesn’t matter if it is gold or the world it’s self I won’t take it or deal with it.

Regret is Unprofessional really touched me especially when I was in the army and also a firefighter. The decision you make wether be for your career or someone’s life you should make with confidence. No matter the outcome know you chose to the best of your ability with no regret.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
So my business is transportation of goods such as medical, machinery, trade show items, metals, train parts, Refrigerated food products and much much more!

I think what sets me apart from most start up trucking companies is I don’t care to deeply about making money to the point I’ll drive the latest and supposedly greats next new truck out there. What alot of people fail to realize is it doesn’t matter if you have the newest rig out there. It matters if it is clean and we’ll maintained and something your customer would feel good about putting their products on.

What I’m most proud of is that I have two Iconic trucks a 1993 Kenworth w900 flat glass with a areo sleeper which is paid off and a 2006 peterbilt 379 which God willing will be paid off in the summer of 2022. Also I have 3 trailers which 2 out of 3 are paid off.

I got to this point by listening to other drivers and working for different types of Trucking companies and taking what they had to offer and adding it to my business plan with slight modifications. Especially owner operators they are the guys you want to work for especially if they have the truck you want to own one day. They show you the ropes better than any mega Carrier could especially when it comes to maintaining your equipment.

It wasn’t easy getting to this point alot of ups and downs. The way I overcome is having no regrets and learning from my mistakes and keeping my head down and move forward. But don’t forget to make a little noise here and there to show others you mean business. You can’t look weak in any business but you also can’t be someone no one wants to work with.

The lessons I’ve learned along the way are no matter what environment you have grown up in put it aside and talk to others with respect an understand where they are coming from. You don’t have to like their ways but you should respect them to a extent haha. I had to add that because we are humans and we aren’t all meant to get along or agree but hey don’t let that difference stop you from growing as a person or your company.

I want the world to Noire Transport LLC is owned by a 25 year old that happens to be black. An that if I can do the military, police, firefighter, Owner operator and in the future flight school and attend a racing school what is stopping you from doing almost everything you wanted as a child?

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I may be 25 but I act like a old man and honestly the most fun I’ve had aren’t in major cities no no it has been in places like Montana in the mountains or Arizona in small towns in the desert. I will say driving through Canada from Detroit to Toronto is a beautiful drive!

An for a itinerary honestly none at all is always the best just stop at whatever catches your eye on your route and in my opinion take the back roads you’ll see more history and run into interesting people, mom and pop shops and also my favorite home made ice cream shops.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Smokey and the bandit really started it all for me! That was the first movie I ever watched about being a trucker and doing what needed to be done to finish a job! Honestly I couldn’t name the people that got me to where I am now because the list would go on for ever but they know who they are, even strangers from time to time have been a really great help even if it was only for a moment. I took the good and the bad from everyone I’ve met in life and used it to shape my future that continues to change daily.
