We had the good fortune of connecting with Bruce Murray and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bruce, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I’m ORIGINALLY From Chesterfield South Carolina But I Moved To Atlanta Ga From Maryland. My Background and how I was brought up influences everything you see from me today. I come from a musical family and I myself have been singing since the age of 4. So music as been my passion literally my entire life.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am an independent gospel recording artist based here in Atlanta GA. I recently just released my first ever project called “It’s Personal” A Five track EP the music highlights a time in my life where life hit me in a why I never saw coming. I was set up and charged with two high profile felonies for i crime I never committed. I was put in jail for 30 day. I had been going back and forth to court for 2 years and on 12/13/21 my case was dismissed. So I feel that what sets me apart is I minister from a place of EXPERIENCE and not just skill talent and technique. My most proudest moment is when I got to perform my own songs on live television for the very first time. I felt like all of my hard work and sacrifices were for this moment and then the award nominations started coming and I became so grateful and felt like I was FINALLY beginning to walk in purpose. To see that what I dreamed of all my life actually come to past I’m truly grateful to God. I’ve learned so much in a short amount of time but my most important thing that I would tell anyone is never let anyone or anything stifle or rob you of fulfilling your dreams. No matter what it looks like or how long it takes if God has given your a dream you can do it. Don’t let what people have to say detour you stay focused and watch God. I Want to world to know that anything is possible if believe in God, believe in yourself and work towards what you say you want.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting the city the first place we are going is out to eat. I from the south and we love good food. We would go to this place called Southern Kitchen and Grill this place has some of the BEST fried chicken and Mac and Cheese ever then I’m sure we would go to Lenox mall and do a little shopping at Neiman Marcus And also visit the Georgia Aquarium. Also being that we’re both music lovers we’d definitely check out a few concerts here live in the city. It would be an amazing experience to say the least.
