We had the good fortune of connecting with Brooke Womack and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brooke, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I was currently in school getting my bachelors degree when I started considering starting my own Photography business. I wanted the freedom that comes with being your own boss as well as pursuing something that I absolutely loved.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am an intimate wedding and elopement photographer based in Atlanta, Georgia. I first got into photography in 2017, and started specializing in weddings and couples in 2018 when I went full time. I focus on truly documenting each wedding as a unique story and capturing their authentic moments.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Some of my favorite spots in Atlanta include: East Pole Coffee Co. for good coffee as well as a great place to get some work done, Little Rey for a quick bit, (get the Steak Al Carbon tacos) and Westside provisions for other fun shops, places to eat and hangout!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family, who constantly supports me and has always been there since the beginning.

My boyfriend Chandler, who I shot my first wedding ever along side. It was on that day that I realized how much I loved weddings and photography.
