We had the good fortune of connecting with Bridget Saladino and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bridget, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Success is defined differently by many people. Some see it as how much money they make, how many clients they have, how many employees are on their payroll. While others including myself, see it as doing something you love, with the satisfaction of making people happy in the process. Yes, the money is nice, but doesn’t define success. Being a family owned company is our success factor in this business. We treat everyone like family and enjoy the relationship element to it. Construction and designing is our passion, we love creating a space for families to live in that they love! Even if some of our employees are not blood relatives, they are family to use and to our clients. We focus on relationships which tends to get lost these days.

What should our readers know about your business?

My business is a legacy of my father. He was a great Italian tile installer and loved what he did. My business provides people the opportunity to give their spaces facelifts. We specialize in tile installation, that is where our passion and expertise flourish. We are set apart by our ability to install unique tiles that others can not, or will not becasue of difficulty. We love those challenges!

The business has grown so much. We have expanded into full renovation projects, not just tile work. Our portfolio has grown, relationships with contractors, designers and tile shops all have been impacted. Growing does have its growing pains and businesses are every changing. Keeping up with it has it challenges. Dealing with employees have its challenges and social media is just definitely challenging and time consuming.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

I’m a super simple person. I love hanging outside and keeping things low key and quiet. Hanging on my deck with my bestie and a glass of wine is all I need. If we would head out, it would be to a local shops, a nice brewery.  We enjoy visitng Lone Oak in Olney.  It’s a great place to hang out with friends and family.

Another day we would head out to DC (if I had enough patience) and hit up the best museums DC offers. They are all fabulous and the monuments are priceless.

A family gathering is a must with my family. If you are a friend, you clearly are part of the Italian family and we just have that instinct to feed you.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My faith in the lord and my family is where all the credit goes. If not for them, I would not be where I am today. My family, stubborn Italians that they are, pushed me to be persistent. The support of my my husband, also venting partner, it what held me up. When I failed, they taught me to get back up. Most of all, they taught to me love the lord and share that love with everyone that comes across my path.
