Meet Brian Sanchez | Artista

We had the good fortune of connecting with Brian Sanchez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brian, what do you attribute your success to?
I believe the most determining factor for success is having a clear mind and being sure of what you want and working toward it with discipline and consistency. Every step, even a small one, counts, and little by little, it adds up, bringing you closer to a good result. You may not notice the progress at first, and it may seem like you’re going slowly, but exponentially, if you’re consistent, each step and each improvement is like a brick that builds a great skyscraper.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My work has a peculiar distinction, and it is an intention to connect human beings with nature and its essence. I believe that in these times, human beings need this; they need a pause, and perhaps also a return to reconnect with themselves. And the answer lies in their natural being. I am proud of my natural roots and am excited every day by the peace I feel in reconnecting with them. My path to where I am today has not been easy. Being born in a rural town to creating a career as a professional artist for the city and the world—believe me, it has not been an easy task. However, that same geographical fatalism of being born in a rural town where culture was scarce has given me one of the greatest treasures of my life and my artistic creation: nature and the sincere connection with it. And something very important, the somewhat difficult path has given me wisdom and made me strong. I believe that’s how complex paths work in the mind of those who live them, giving you a lot of wisdom and character. Creating a clear goal in my life and taking a step toward it every day with discipline is the way I’ve learned to overcome challenges. Being consistent, finding solutions to problems instead of wasting time complaining, always with a clear goal… That has been the way I find myself where I am today and eager to go for more. I don’t have such high expectations as to think about how the world would see me, but if it were possible, I would like the message of my art to be understood loud, strong, and clear: that human beings today, more than ever before, will find the peace and calm they so yearn for by getting closer to nature and their roots. And in the part of my story, I would like to send an example to all the people who might want to achieve something but doubt themselves. The example that there are no dreams that are not achieved, only poorly planned or poorly executed ones. Be strong, don’t waste time on what weakens you, be consistent and disciplined, and you will achieve great things.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I like quiet places in the city, where you can have a good shot of whiskey and chat about interesting topics with sophisticated music and a great view to enjoy. If it’s a sky view, that would be ideal. A refined, wabi-sabi environment with natural tones and soft lighting best suits my taste. Outside the city, I connect with pure nature, always seeking peace and serenity. I truly enjoy talking with authentic people with good taste and wisdom in their words. I don’t need much to be happy; just art, nature, a good shot of whiskey, and a good conversation are enough for me to feel blissful. I practice a simple philosophy: Only go where you breathe freely.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
To my family, my wife and all the people who believed in me despite the hardships of life
