Meet Boe Jackson | Clothing Designer & Art Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Boe Jackson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Boe, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I chose to start this career because I love creating things that remind me of my personality and skills I am not a artist I can’t draw but I can create art in another form and my art is worn on peoples body it’s not about the money it’s about having a brand that people love and admire.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart from others is that my brand is way different from others I’m not scared to stand out and be different and use a different way of creativity I’m from Detroit and it’s a lot of brand out here where I’m from and I choose not to be like any of them. I got here to where I am because I didn’t give up I have my family behind me every step of the way especially my mother & I have a strong mentality of not giving up on something I love doing, The most exciting thing about it is creating a piece that I’ve done and showing the customer and watching their reactions knowing that I’ve done something that they love. It’s. It easy getting to where I am today yo have to work hard overcome a lot of criticism and people they don’t like your brand or that don’t want to buy it, I overcame it because I choose to be different and stand out from others and a lot of people see that & that’s how I’m so successful at the end of the day. I want people to know about my brand and k ow that my story is know regular story that it is a different story a brand that is not typical or boring but a exciting experience that I would love everyone to be apart of.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Downtown For sure, we have a lot of bars and clubs that are unlike in other cities Detroit is a a different type of vibe from anywhere else, we have so many restaurants to choose from it’ll be hard just to name one or two because their all so good but the propel are just exciting by their self it’s not that hard to fit in some people don’t wanna leave.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shout out my mother and my loved ones because with out them my creations wouldn’t have came alive sometimes I would just give up but they push my to make me see that my clothing brand is much more than ordinary it’s a big accomplishment that I’ve been working on for a few years now. But I would really like to thank my mother for being there for me every step of the way with my creative flow journey.
