Meet BFF

We had the good fortune of connecting with BFF and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi BFF, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
We always like to say we were born to do music and be entertainers, we grew up glued to the tv watching stars like Brandy, Aaliyah, Janet Jackson and Michael Jackson learning and studying their every move. We always felt so connected to performing, by the time we got old enough to started creating our own music. It just all came together.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets us apart from any other music act right now is the fact that we are a co-op duo. Their isn’t many or at least none to our knowledge duos with a male singer and a female singer. We also think growing up together and being able to learn and grow together also gives us a certain vibe that I don’t think you can find anywhere else in music right now.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If bestfriend was coming for the week, we would def hangout on the belt-line, maybe even do a picnic at Old 4Th Ward Park. Saturday noon brunch at Lips is a really good time too. And we can’t forget Brunch at King of Diamonds on Sunday.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We have to give a shoutout to our family, our family has supported us, even when things may have. It of always made sense to them. But their love and support never wavered.
