We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Garrison, CPA and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I contribute to the success of my company to the idea that I want to change the fear and anxiety that business owners have about taxes and finances by creating a less stressful process, always advocating for their success, and above all else, always operating in the highest ethical manner. GRF’s tagline is ‘Your partner in financial prosperity’ and that’s just what we deliver!

What should our readers know about your business?
I was always an “A” student. I did well. and followed the widely accepted “path to success”. I finished college, got a corporate job, and was paid well. But I was extremely unfulfilled and uninspired. So in 2014, I started my plan to start my own accounting company. I wanted to do what I was naturally good at and enjoyed, to make a significant impact on individuals and businesses while creating a luxurious life for myself.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live in Memphis, and it is a great lively city with the funniest and warmest people! Festival time is the best time of the year. Many outside festivals are centered around food or drinks or a particular culture. Later in the day, following the festival, we could hang out at a local lounge or bar for a craft cocktail, good music, and great conversation.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I NEED to give all praises and recognition to my tribe! It started small and it ever-increasing! These are family members, friends, colleagues, and clients that motivate me to go bigger and harder every day. It took a lot for me to make the jump to play in my own space, and I am extremely thankful for my tribe that kept me believing in my ability to make this work. And even with the success that I am having now, I am continuously motivated by them to go for more, think bigger, and do bigger.
