We had the good fortune of connecting with Ariel T. Watkins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ariel T., what principle do you value most?
Integrity is foundational to everything I do because it reflects who I am at my core. Being honest and truthful isn’t just about doing the right thing—it’s about fostering trust and building meaningful connections with others. In both personal and professional spheres, integrity forms the base of my interactions. It’s a principle that guides my decisions and actions, knowing that people do business with those they trust. This value not only opens doors but also cultivates a positive impact on those around me. When we uphold integrity, we not only honor ourselves but also contribute to a more trustworthy and uplifting world.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve had the joy of transitioning from dancer to choreographer, specializing in Children and Youth Productions.
Alongside this passion, I’ve authored two books: “Gabby’s Big Leap,” a diverse children’s tale brimming with artistic expression and courage, and “Embracing Grace: Recognizing God’s Grace and Love for Your Life As A Single Christian Woman” a self-empowering book inspiring women to navigate life with resilience and faith.

What sets me apart is my unique blend of personality and artistic style. In every project, I weave narratives through movement, connecting deeply with diverse groups. My greatest joy stems from my ability to teach dance to almost anyone, fostering trust and patience along the way. Being a beacon of positivity in professional settings brings me immense joy—I really cherish the opportunity to connect with people on a meaningful level.

My journey hasn’t been without challenges, but each obstacle has been a stepping stone to my growth. Perseverance has been my steadfast companion; through setbacks, I’ve learned to adapt, innovate, and never lose sight of my passion. Every lesson—whether in dance, writing, or leadership—has reinforced the importance of resilience and embracing the unexpected with grace.

Above all, I hope my journey inspires others to pursue their dreams fearlessly. My brand is built on a foundation of creativity, integrity, and a commitment to uplifting others through art and literature. Whether on stage or through the pages of a book, I aspire to touch hearts and ignite imaginations, spreading a message of courage, grace, and the limitless possibilities found in embracing your true gifts.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
It’s hard to pick just one place because Atlanta has a lot of great places for entertainment. However, I would suggest visiting the BeltLine to for a nice day time stroll and delights at Ponce City Market, dive into the vibrant arts scene at the High Museum or catch a live performance at the Fox Theatre, and of course discover all of the hidden gems at The Battery.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family and friends, of course.
Also, my organization, All About Movement Dance Company and those that support what we do.
