We had the good fortune of connecting with Anthony Abram Jr. and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anthony, what principle do you value most?
Gratitude would be a value or principle that matters the most to me. Last year was the most important year of my adult life. I didn’t get to high on the highs or low on the lows; and the lows hit me differently last year! For the first time I took things for what they were. I thank God and told him I was grateful for all situations, because each situation changed my perception in-turn changed my existence.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Living Always, Inc- We’re a Non-Profit Organization with a mission dedicated to normalizing talking about Mental Health after experiencing postpartum trauma amongst men and their families.

Getting here today mentally and business-wise hasn’t been easy. Seeking therapy in 2017 for the first time is what I am most proud of. Therapy opened up my mind from the fogginess from Depression I experienced prior. Since 2019 it has been a grind feeling as if no one is listening to my story or me bringing light to Mental Health. However, the main lesson I’ve learned was to keep going, keep sharing my story and spreading awareness on Mental Health. You never know who is watching, you never know who may need to hear they aren’t alone and it’s okay not to be okay.

I want the world to know that I didn’t go to school for clinical psychology, I’m doing this off life experiences and using resources around me to educate myself. I want to be apart of ending generational cycles with Mental Health conversations being taboo in households with parents. I want that little boy to know that you don’t always have to “man up”, you can cry and express your feelings. I want that little girl to know it’s okay to be original and it’s okay to be yourself.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Man, this is hard. I been here 9 years now from Indiana and it’s still so much to do in Metro Atlanta. I’d say we start of a few brunch options; Folk Art (hidden gem), Hobnob-Midtown, Milk & Honey, Casi Cielo, and Cultivate. More places I find to be pretty dope; Puttshack, Belt Line, Ponce City Market, Triton Yards, Sweet Auburn Curb Market, Slim & Husky’s Pizza Beeria, Edgewood Ave, Eat at Fingerz, A Haute Cookie and of course a strip club for the wings! I know I’m missing a lot more but that’s what I can think of at the moment.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shout out to God, my wife, family and friends. Shout out Jessica, my sons mother. Shout out to anyone that took the time out to read this or anything I post on social media. Anyone that purchased a book, t-shirt, or hoodie thank you, shout out to you all.
