We had the good fortune of connecting with Anna Moody and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anna, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
In high school, my art teacher once told me “if you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life.” I know she wasn’t the first one to say this, but this was the first time it resonated with me. This phrase has motivated me to turn my passion into a career. Too many people work jobs they dread and I aspire to break this cycle.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am most excited about the wedding cakes I have been given the opportunity to make this upcoming year! I have wanted to step into the wedding world for a while but COVID did not make that simple. While I awaited wedding orders, I learned the art of hot chocolate bombs! This allowed me to put my name in the community this winter. Now, I am able to take cake courses this spring to set me up for success. Zola is a wonderful platform I recently began using to connect with brides!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would start each day with brunch at one of these Atlanta favorites: Atlanta Breakfast Club, Flying Biscuit, South City Kitchen, Breakfast at Barneys, or Cafe Intermezzo. The High Museum, Ponce City Market, The Works, Aquarium, The Battery, or Botanical Gardens are all wonderful places to spend the day. For an afternoon pick-me-up, I would take them to one of my favorite coffee spots: Bellwood, Rev, Spiller Park, or Chattahoochee Coffee Company. To end the day, you can’t go wrong with drinks at Ladybird off the Beltline or beers at Scofflaw.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband, friends, family, and church family have been a great support system. From helping me set up at markets to attending events or sharing posts, I can’t thank them enough. I laugh when I think back to my first market, before my Kitchen-Aid mixer, when I continually broke my mothers mixer and she would just run to Walmart to buy me another one. I cannot imagine the patience she had with me, much less her willingness to clean up the mess I would make in her kitchen.
