Stop being afraid
Practice Appreciation.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My music is the way I am able to tell stories about my experiences or things I have seen. I was once told experiences are the best teacher and whew I am learning a lot; about myself about those around me. Although some people may have gone through the same things I have or differently I want people to remember and know that they are not in this alone. Giving a sense of reassurance through song is something that sets me apart from others. Music for me has become my way of healing. Finding passion and purpose. Finding, Amor.
Im most proud of the willingness and fight my team and I posses. Throughout the course of five years we’ve all had loss and gains. I did not think I would sing again. Felt like a songbird with no song, no urge to say a word. Just hurt and feeling defeated. However, finally facing the hurt and not running away from it has help me grow as a woman, a mother, a person, an artist. I believe the trials of the personal life, the support system and not being afraid to take chances has help me get where I am professionally; and is preparing me for what’s to come.
Throughout this journey there have been many lessons some in which I never thought I would be prepare for. One in which consisted of finding who I am. Yes, my EP is. titled “I AM Amor” but it took for me to go through life’s experiences and Storms to know what that meant. Was It easy? of course not, but anything worth fighting for hardly ever comes easy. And when your back seems like its against the wall you have to remember YOU ARE WORTH FIGHTING FOR (so keep swinging, lol). If I could tell the world anything about the brand “I AM AMOR”
Amor means love= and love can be whatever you may feel or want it to be but for me its about walking in your difference and falling in love with yourself. Manifesting those things in which you dream.
And if I had the chance to tell the world about me I would tell I was once one who smiled even when I didn’t feel I had a reason to do so. I was once trying to figure out exactly who Amor was and it took time, but when you do find yourself and your purpose embrace who you are and never be afraid. I may not be everyone’s cup of tea but coffee is good too.. meaning everyone won’t like what you wear ,your hair, you as a person but continue to be who you were created to be for it’s ok to be different.
I AM AMOR
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting the area (Baltimore) I would have to take her to get some crabs for sure from Don’s. We would have a spa day and hit the town later that night (there’s always something going on in the Charles Village area or D.C.) go dancing and just enjoy life meet new people, etc. ‘
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shout out first God. Ari’a, my daughter. The melody to my song and my entire support system. (My family, Sound Empire, true Christian Faith, Roberta’s house)
