We had the good fortune of connecting with Alisya Lott and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alisya, why did you pursue a creative career?
I chose to pursue a creative career because in this career I’m able to express myself and showcase my creativity.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m the owner of a crafting business, I feel like my reasonable pricing and great customer service sets me apart from others. I’m most excited about my up coming Virtual Cricut 101 Class. I decided to offer a learning class so other people who own a Cricut machine could get a little hands on help to help them grown or start their business. Getting to where I am today with my business was pretty easy. I’ve had a few difficult days but for the most part everything has been smooth sailing but because I had a little buzz before I actually began selling things I think thats helped me get to where I am today. I started this in March and although it’s not a lot to many people here I am a few months later with almost 300 followers, with only word of mouth promotion. The biggest lesson I’ve learned along the way is learning the value of my products. sometimes I try to price things so they’re really affordable for people but I forget about the time I’ve put into these product and sometimes my own money. I want the world to know it’s never too late to do what makes you happy.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Yes, I’d like to shoutout my 1 year old Daughter Raelynn.
