We had the good fortune of connecting with Aliah Jaundoo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aliah, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
Quote by Ain Eineziz: “Every day is a new beginning”.

I learned when it comes to anything in life there will be good days and bad days. I made it my goal to always leave yesterday behind me instead of taking it with me into the next day. This allows me to be the best me for my business and in life everyday.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I love my work and I always put love and care into each set I do. I like to keep my work more on the natural side and realistic and healthy as possible. I want to change the trend of extendo lashes back to a more natural but noticeable look. I started lashing back in 2018 after working with a girl who had long lashes but it still looked real. I asked her how she did it and she said she gets her lashes done. I saved up my tips and paid for my class and have been lashing ever since. In the beginning it was very hard for me and took hours of practice but the more I worked on my skill the better and easier it got for me. One lesson that I learned when it comes to being a business owner or creative is that your biggest supporters will be people that you do not know. I would say the only thing I want the world to know about my band or business is that I do it because I find peace and a calmness in doing lashes. While this is a business, I continue to lash because for me it is more about the satisfaction I get when creating.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shoutout to The Artistry Vault who trained and continues to support me on this journey. MyEyeMink who also trained me specifically in volume and has helped me grow as a lash artist. I would also like to Shoutout My sister Alisha Hurt Owner of Ready set Boutique LLC who has been a constant support system and loyal person for me to practice my work on. Lastly, I would also like to Shoutout all of my loyal clients who have been with me since the beginning of my journey and grew with me as a artist they could have found anyone else but they stuck with me and believed in me.
