We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexis Cierra and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexis, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
There were so many platforms that told women to leave their jobs and work for themselves, but no one ever shared the hidden truth about what that actually means when you do that. I wished that someone had a roadmap to give me before I started my first business in insurance that became wildly successful in record time but not without bumps in the road. This is actually my 2nd business venture. I had left the retail industry and stepped into the insurance industry because I wanted to make an impact on the world and leave a legacy for my child, that could be passed on for generations to come. I also knew that I wanted to help women pursue this same freedom of entrepreneurship, but I noticed that there was a need for mentorship in helping women not only start their businesses but give them insight on how to help them thrive and build scalable businesses. I have always been a big picture thinker and I wanted to inspire other women to think outside of the box when it comes to building a business and brand, while making it profitable at the same time. I thought to myself, how can I reach the most amount of women and give them that same sense of having a mentor and coach at the same time? I came up with the “My Boss Circle” podcast and then “My Boss Circle” membership platform.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I started out in retail and joined the insurance industry 10 years ago. I grew my first business from 25 clients to 3008 clients with an agency book worth $3.1 million in premium within 6 years and then sold my agency to go into consulting to help other businesses grow. Because of this success and the overwhelming amount of mentorship request I received; I birthed “My Boss Circle” Podcast and Community available on all streaming platforms. “My Boss Circle” equips and empowers a network of women intrapreneurs (they have a 9-5 and a side hustle hun) and entrepreneurs to build scalable businesses through bossversations, relationship-building, and online training’s. I wanted to have real conversations with other successful women industry leaders on the real deal of building your business and also how to have longevity. I wanted to cover everything you don’t hear about in the traditional executive panel discussions. and also offer training’s to the membership base on A-Z of building or expanding a business. Its never easy building a business, but I wanted to show the listeners and community how having a solid strategy can completely change the game for the trajectory of your business. I had some amazing mentors on my personal board of directors and “My Boss Circle” is my way of providing the same support I had while building my business on a larger platform; helping more women in business become a real Boss.
