We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexandria Alli and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexandria, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
As a second generation designer I have always had a love for fashion. As I grew older and started modeling and I fell in love with the beauty and glamour of the industry. I especially fell in love with the well crafted luxurious Items specifically handbags that I got to wear as a model. But soon I realized that most women including myself could not afford the luxurious accessories that I modeled in magazines and on the runway. As I did more research I also found that their was a big void in the market for black luxury designers. So. I set out to change the narrative and start a brand of affordable, well crafted, colorful and unique luxury leather handbags for busy women on the go!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My brand is F&W Style an Atlanta based luxury leather handbag company for busy women on the go! One thing that sets us apart is our brand story…we are one of the very few black owned handbag brand in the luxury space. Another thing that sets up apart is the quality, craftsmanship, unique design, colorfulness and attention to detail that we provide to our clients.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Some the favorite spots I will take her is lunch at Flower Child, they have the most amazing salads in the area. I would also take her to the Shops Around Buckhead for some retail therapy, and dinner at Le Bilboquet. Then off to the W Hotel roof top for some great music. While she is in town I would also take her to Ponce city market for shopping, food, and outdoor fun. And we can’t forget Sun Dail Restaurant for the best views of the city!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shout out would definitely go to my mom Adeola Yunusa and my husband Alfred Alli. These to amazing people inspire me and push me to go for it everyday.
