We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexandrea Council and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexandrea, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I’ve always loved planning gatherings for friends and family. I enjoy seeing them relax and have fun in a space I’ve created. I discovered a talent for coming up with unique ways to highlight special themes and color schemes, and I realized there might be others who would love a beautifully curated picnic experience. That’s how The Pop-Up Soirée was born!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What truly sets me apart is my genuine passion for helping people create unforgettable experiences. I pour my heart into every event, from the initial consultation to the final touches. Every client is treated like family, and I go the extra mile to understand their vision and goals. I’m incredibly proud of the relationships I’ve built with my clients. I take their trust in me seriously, and it brings me immense joy to see their faces light up when they experience the magic of the event we’ve created together. The journey definitely hasn’t been easy. There were unexpected challenges and moments of doubt. But it’s during those times that the lessons I’ve learned have become most valuable. The most important lessons have been about consistency and perseverance. There’s a ‘stick-to-it-ness’ mentality that keeps me pushing forward, even when things don’t go exactly according to plan. I want people to know that The Pop-Up Soirée is more than just a picnic and event service. It’s about creating heartfelt memories that last a lifetime. We take the time to understand your vision and translate it into a reality that exceeds expectations. With unwavering dedication and a genuine love for what we do, we strive to make every event truly unforgettable.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Atlanta is a city that blends Southern flavors with vibrant, cultural vibes. We gotta start the day off right with brunch! First stop: Taverna. They’re famous for their unbeatable deal – $3 mimosas! How can you say no to that?
Next, we’ll switch gears and experience some Caribbean vibes at Ms. Icey’s. Their brunch dishes have unbelievable flavor, guaranteed to make you want to try the whole menu.

What better way to soak in the ATL skyline than with drinks at a rooftop bar? Buckhead has some of the best city views. We can pick a spot and enjoy the view as we catch up.

When hunger strikes for dinner, we have two fantastic options. Craving a classic steak experience with a touch of ambiance? Then, it’s gotta be Marcels. If you’re feeling more like some seriously crave-worthy Italian, Davio’s is the answer. Their chicken parm meatballs are legendary, and you won’t want to miss out on dessert. Speaking of dessert… Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams is an Atlanta institution, and for good reason. Their unique flavors are guaranteed to satisfy your sweet tooth.

The Interlock is home to Puttshack, an awesome indoor mini golf course where we can putt our way to victory.
Looking for something a little more zen? Colony Square hosts midweek yoga sessions on the green. Perfect for recentering and re-energizing. And to refuel after all that, Politan Row offers unique restaurants and shops to explore.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I wouldn’t be here without the incredible support of my family, friends and fiancé; they’ve been my biggest cheerleaders, My fiancé has been my right-hand man, lending a hand (or should I say arm!) whenever I need it. Their encouragement and help mean the world to me.
