We had the good fortune of connecting with Adriano Gomez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Adriano, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
Trust your instincts when it comes to the value of you! Many have a hard time trying to figure out their own worth amongst their field(s) of industry but seeing what the next person does and in nightlife especially, you do have to understand how markets work to properly price your product/services. However, don’t be afraid to stand up for and back down from what your value is and what you bring to the field of play ya know?
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Well coming out of the Pandemic it’s safe to say I’m happy I still have a career that is still in demand after dealing with a time with such heavy uncertainty. So not taking My career for granted was the biggest thing I’m proud of. That a pandemic didn’t stop the brand from Developing and furthering during Covid-19. I’ve learned that in a heartbeat literally everything can go “bye bye” without a moments notice! I was booked like 3 Months out for prior to the mandatory lockdown and it was a matter of survival after that and that alone took a tremendous told on the psyche as well as “what are we doing to do!” Luckily DJs across the globe all turned to creative means of streaming live and kept the hype and brands alive while the world tuned in. Then Once Atlanta started to “open back up” the bookings came back to rev the vibes back up.
That’s a blessing and privilege in its own as professionally for 5 years prior I was making a name
For myself in the DJ world but then to have to stripped away from a historic life event that is still ongoing today and find a way to maintain in the midst of adversity, that’s really what embodies what my brand is all about. Versatile, highly energetic, infectious and quite frankly undeniable.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Let’s say they fly in on a Monday and let’s take it from there.
Monday they arrive morning let midday. Now Mondays are kinda chill but we gotta go hop around and get some grub so I’d suggest some apps and drinks at Red Pepper Taqueria for good vibes and meet up amongst industry. Then I’d take them to go sing some Karaoke at Impulse while DeeNice Makes the dopest drinks and the rest of the friendly staff serves some of the best food and hookah in GA.
On Tuesday, It’s Taco Tuesday so time to find the Birria Spots and then get ready for some Quality house and the hideaway spot Supply and Demand before Hip hop and House Music on a Tuesday Night at Red Martini
Wednesday we Hitting Latin Night At Blue Martini and Stopping by Wild Women Wednesday at Koo Koo Room as well as the legendary MJQ CONCOURSE
Thursday the weekend starts (IYKYK) and it’s time to hit up TnG for Industry Night as well as bounce around for good hookah at the Sivas in midtown!
Friday night we live baby! But first we taking a hike on Stone Mountain or maybe hitting the beltline since most will be OUT during that time and mingling. Then the city is wide open now! All the spots and clubs you can’t miss that are open!
Saturday night the same
Thing but make sure to stop for bites and good vibes at the Memphis Smokehouse
Sunday it’s all about that brunch! The Highlands is a great place to brunch with chill vibes but for more turn up Electro Brunch at Loca Luna or Blue Martini with Babey Drew on a Sunday! Both are amazingly lit! And then it’s Saloon on Sundays!!! Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
