We had the good fortune of connecting with Adrian Tabb and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Adrian, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success is my determination. I have always been determined to carry out a vision or a dream I have. Once I wrote the plan and research, I move. No one can dictate my study and belief, so in spite of the naysayers I continue to move! There’s nothing to wait for! Hearing a “no” is simply fuel to get to a “YES”! Belief in yourself and the process is what it takes to win
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As a hairstylist I have learned to put my passion into everything I do. It brings me joy to create! This sets my apart I believe. No only my passion but concern for the client, our communication, and the needs of each person. I am where I am today because when something didn’t work, I kept going! I had to constantly reinvent and constantly grow! I wasn’t easy but it was worth it and I owed it to myself and my purpose to keep moving. I got through challenges by looking at the solution and making that the focus I’ve learned that everyone and everything don’t require your attention or energy. As entrepreneurs we have a tendency to ask a lot of questions to find the best results, but everyone won’t have the answers. Sometimes they will set you back! Trust your vision and keep moving! I want the world to know that what I do is from my heart. I love people and I love results. When I can get results for people as clients or students, I have done my job.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite places here in Atlanta … MALLS! Lol I love to shop. Shopping will definitely be on the list. From Lennox to Southlake, to Tanger… Something for everyone. Church!!! I definitely want to take people for a motivational message at Glory House Church of Atlanta. Restaurants like Escobar and Kiku would be on the agenda. I’m still exploring a lot about Atlanta so I would be learning the city as well!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My parents, Bertha Tabb and Jerry Young Sr., have provided resources and support thoroughly my journey! Every time I need to talk or whenever I needed assistance, they were there! My first pastor Scot Tyler and Kingdom Builders Ministries, helped push me into fulfilling my mission, encouraging me to trust in God and walk out my purpose. Also, Pastor Apostle Timothy Cox and Glory House Church of Atlanta have been very instrumental in my development since I’ve been in Atlanta. All my friends, clients, and supporters who have encouraged me and done business with me…. you are appreciated and I count it a privilege that you have trusted me.
