You will be humbled quickly. No matter how good the idea is you will need to grind, hustle, and sell to start. I went from working as a glamorous Creative Director in NYC to driving around a Dip Mobile trying to get people to buy dips. What I originally scripted (like everyone) didn’t come to flourish, so I was left doing everything, which included sitting outside of friend’s office buildings in the freezing cold feeling embarrassed and being humbled. It’s so easy to get lost in trying to please others that you forget about yourself, and you forget about your relationship with God. As a mother, entrepreneur, and former Superwoman, there was a time when I lost sight of my priorities. For many years, I was building my business while working a normal 9-5 career, and I was always in “go” mode. I barely made time for myself, so I definitely didn’t make time for God.
