We had the good fortune of connecting with Keyva Clark and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Keyva, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
It was simple. I come from a family of entrepreneurs! When I was born, my grandparents had, at that point, owned their real estate business for over 15 years.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our business is focused on providing unique and authentic travel experiences through Airbnb. The most exciting part was the rehabilitation of the property because it sat vacant for 20 years, it happens to be the same property where my uncle lived during his college days at Morehouse. The property was in a state of disrepair and had been forgotten by the community.

We saw an opportunity to bring the property back to life by turning it into an Airbnb rental. We worked tirelessly to renovate the property, preserving its charm while adding modern amenities for our guests. The process was not easy, as we faced various challenges during the renovation process, including budget constraints and unexpected repairs. However, we overcame these challenges through perseverance and creativity.

What sets us apart from other Airbnb hosts is our commitment to providing our guests with a truly unique and authentic experience. We strive to create an atmosphere that feels like home, and we go above and beyond to ensure that our guests have everything they need during their stay. We have received numerous positive reviews from our guests, who appreciate the attention to detail and personalized touches that we provide.

Our journey to where we are today has been one filled with hard work and dedication. We’ve started small, with just one Airbnb
property, and have grown our business through word-of-mouth referrals and positive reviews. We are proud of the success that we have achieved so far, and we are excited about the future possibilities for our business.

Along the way, we have learned many valuable lessons about entrepreneurship and what it takes to run a successful business. We have learned the importance of perseverance, creativity, and adaptability. We have also learned that success does not come overnight and that it takes hard work and dedication to achieve our goals.

In terms of our brand and story, we want the world to know that we are passionate about providing our guests with unique and authentic travel experiences. We believe that travel has the power to connect people and create memories that last a lifetime. We are committed to providing our guests with exceptional service and creating a home away from home for them. Our journey to renovate the property where my uncle lived during his college days is just one example of our commitment to preserving history and creating unique experiences for our guests.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting the area, I would definitely take them to Krog Street Market and Ponce City Market for some of the best food and shopping experiences Atlanta has to offer. We would start off with breakfast at Atlanta Breakfast Club, located near Ponce City Market, for some delicious southern cuisine. Then, we would head over to Krog Street Market for some shopping and lunch at the popular Sushi Bomb.

In the evening, we would visit Rock Steady restaurant for some Caribbean-inspired cuisine and drinks. After dinner, we would head to Jojo’s beloved cocktail lounge for some of the best cocktails in the city.

On another day, we would visit The Blue Flame Lounge, a historic Atlanta landmark known for its live entertainment and strong drinks. For lunch, we would head over to Apt 4B, a hidden gem located in the heart of the city, for some delicious soul food.

We would end the week with a visit to The Red Martini, a swanky lounge in the Buckhead area known for its signature martinis and lively atmosphere.

Overall, Atlanta offers a wide variety of fun, interesting, and exciting places to explore. From historic landmarks like The Blue Flame to trendy spots like Ponce City Market and Krog Street Market, there is something for everyone to enjoy in this vibrant city.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout goes to my grandparents! While they both are no longer here with me in the physical I am forever grateful for how I can always feel their presence.
