How did you choose a creative path?

Deciding to pursue an artistic or creative career path isn’t for the faint of heart. Challenges will abound, but so many of the artists we speak with couldn’t be happier with their choice. So, we asked them about how they made the decision in the first place.
I’ve always wanted to grow up to pursue a creative career since I was little. There were times when I thought I was going to be a chef, a painter, a dancer, and everything in between until I found photography. I pursued a creative career because I wasn’t happy doing anything else. I’ve always loved writing and I’ve always had a desire to sing. Once the pandemic hit, I realized that it was time to step outside of my limiting beliefs and finally share my voice. I have always been a right brain type of thinker; gravitating more towards the more intuitive type of thinking. Everything I have ever been involved in touched on the creative side of things. Art, all together, is one of the most powerful tool boxes for the evolution of human beings in terms of emotional education. It is a bridge to get to know oneself, the community and the spirit of the times. I have the ability to connect with others through culture and the arts, I don’t think it was something I pursued, I think it was something that found me. Read more>>

Well for starters I started listening to rap music at the age of 6 and Kanye West made me wanna be creative. As a kid seeing my parents argue and get divorce I felt voiceless. I feel like many of us feel voiceless and helpless so we give up or numb our pain. Read more>>
