Happiness: it’s what matters

We asked some of our favorite folks what makes them happy and why?
My children’s laughter is what makes me the happiest! Individually, it’s great. But corporately, like when they all get together and laugh and enjoy one another, it’s like music to my ears. When I hear them laugh together, it lets me know we’ve established a foundation for them to find pure joy. That’s important, because we have to know how to find our joy even when happiness doesn’t seem to be on the horizon. The earlier you understand that, the easier life will be. Writing! Whether I’m writing a script or writing prose, I also get the sense that this is what I’m supposed to be doing with my life. Writing is my favorite form of creative expression. And, I can’t wait to share my writings, my stories, with a global audience. Read more>>
Dance and writing make me happy. I love writing. Even before I started to publish The Adventures of Super Vickie, I would spend weekend after weekend writing short stories. It took me about 2 hours of non stop writing the rough draft of Super Vickie. I also love dance. This is my 6th year of it, and I do tap, jazz, ballet, and hip-hop. Hip-hop is my favorite. Not only do I like the constant movements my teacher adds in our routines, I like the music itself. I listen to music so often, I have learned the complete lyrics to some modern day songs. I enjoy the entire creative process of my brand and making the products but i genuinely believe being able to help others is what makes me happy. I feel most content when new or recurring customers come back to me with feedback on the product(s) that I made for them that helped with whatever skin or hair problem they were experiencing. Being able to create the kind of music I would like to listen to is very important to me. The more I can focus on creating stuff that I like and allow myself to be influenced by great music, the more I can grow as a creative as a whole. Read more>>
