I no longer practice as a clinical therapist and instead practice in my spiritual gifts. But I do seek to normalize mental health, especially for people of color. My practice is a fusion of spirituality and therapeutic principles which helps to guide people in their divine purpose. Read more>>

Sean Palani | Community Connector

We are a a very diverse group of guys who get together once a month to break bread, socialize and give back. Just like we support a different restaurant each month to dine at, we also select a local non-profit/charity to support, as well. To date, we have supported more than thirty-four local organizations. We put a big emphasis on women and children, the displaced and hungry; basically anyone needing our assistance. On top of our group support, we all post to our social media channels as well to bring more attention to the needs and services of the charities/organizations we are supporting during any given month. Courtney Lowry | Founder & Head Editor

As the Black-Native American founder of “Awkward Skate Magazine,” (@awkwardskatemagazine) an inclusive skate culture magazine for skaters of color who identify as womyn, non-binary, trans, and gender non-conforming (including skaters with disabilities), I provide silenced skaters with the platform they deserve. Submitters can send in any type of art form that they wish, ranging from short essay, painting, video, photography, illustration, etc about their experiences rollerskating or skateboarding. Since starting the magazine, I have talked with quite a few womyn and non-binary skaters of color who have revealed the discomfort they experience at skate parks that are dominated by young, White, cis-gendered men. At their neighborhood skateparks, they were ostracized and prevented from skating in the same areas that are free and open to the public. Read more>>

Mark (Skater Claus) Condit | Skateboard Enthusiast, Philanthropist & Marketer

Skater Claus is currently an LLC, but that’s because it’s much cheaper, easier, & faster to establish an LLC than a 501c3 (in that process now). I sell merchandise on etsy.com/shop/SkaterClaus but all the profit goes to giving kids in need skateboards & protective gear, so it’s more like a charity. While some of the boards & gear I give away come from the profit of my Etsy sales, most of what I get is donated by generous individuals. I get donations from people from all walks of life, but the majority of the donations come from the skate community. They want to give back & help the sport/culture grow. I help the community by giving skateboards to kids in foster care & in low income neighborhoods. Most of these kids have almost nothing, but if you have a skateboard you can use your imagination to turn the urban landscape into your playground. Read more>>
