We had the good fortune of connecting with Michelle Lynch and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michelle, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk taking is essential when owning a business and it can be very scary. Every part of my journey has included some type of chance or risk taking leading to me being a Celebrity Stylist and Fashion Producer. You can plan your career path and/or your business but there will be opportunities along the way that will take you on a different ride than you had planned, so you should be open to change and willing to take risks on something unplanned. Now it’s not for the faint at heart, because it usually involves finances so you have to be smart in taking risks.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I own a Creative Fashion Agency called Poshe Productions that has 3 divisions: 1st Division We are a team of Celebrity Stylists that professionally dresses men, women & kids for magazines, photo shoots, fashion shows, print, film, tv or just special occasions. We have great relationships with our clients which is key to our success – I personally have been the corporate stylist for Macy’s brand for over 20 years and my duties include coordinating wardrobe pieces for consumers showing the latest trends of the season.. 2nd Division We have a Model & Talent Division where we book professional talent for Film, TV, Print & Fashion Shows. We also scout for aspiring new talent and develop them for professional status. 3rd Division We have a fashion production team that produces from: small fashion presentations to large high tech productions. Starting my company wasn’t easy and I had plenty of hurdles but I was so passionate about what I did and had to figure out how to turn passion into $$. I love speaking to aspiring creatives on how I actually became a fashion and lifestyle expert loving all things pretty & creative.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
You cant be in the business of fashion and entertainment without lot’s of people helping you along the way. I had so many mentors, groups, contributors and even celebrities that helped me keep going to the next level. Jean Murphy was the Special Events Manager at Macy’s who first hired me as a model then let me start working behind the scenes in fashion production. She was essential in showing me how to build the foundation and that lead me to start working in NY with Sharne Jackson with Macy’s Corporate and she was major in booking me for shows on a national level. From there, Sharne booked me to do a show with Clinton Kelly from ‘What Not To Wear’ at the time and we went on the road for 10 years together dressing women all over the country. The rest is history as you say….
