Meet Nazeera Dawood: CEO & CoFounder, Vendorship Inc

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nazeera Dawood and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nazeera, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Of course. The Vendorship philosophy has little to do with business and individual contractor profit as much as it does with service and advancing the capacity of communities and constituencies. We pride ourselves in being motivated to help governments solve problems and help governments innovate quality-of-life enhancements in the delivery of public services.
While our work is certainly not a new idea, our drivers and our goals are based in social entrepreneurism. We connect good ideas with community needs through the funnel of business interests and responsive governance. We work with companies, larger and small, new and well-established, to build and condense capacity to get the attention of governments, and build contractual relationships with governments over time, to solve problems and even raise more interests in specific lanes of social and structural innovation.
To best excel at this kind of solutions approach, we don’t have to be lucky in a numbers game of helping companies when more government contracts. We have to be proficient in understanding how the government thinks, what the government is really looking for, and then shaping capable players into those gaps. It’s also the best way to sustain relationships and therefore, success outcomes.

What should our readers know about your business?
Vendorship Inc. is a full-service government contracting partner for local and global SMEs. We operate as an extension of our clients’ team, with a variety of experts who help shape business-development assets and connect them to evolving public-sector needs. Our customer proposal-writing journey also takes care of any and all documentation, registrations and certifications. A crucial element that sets us apart from other specialists in the field is our intense level of bid intel work: We find the bid information that is needed to make networking, positioning and solid project-pricing decisions to better secure government problem-solving relationships and improve our clients’ ROI. For them, “We make government contracting easy.” That’s our motto.
Our team is growing from a humble grass-roots beginning. We would not have reached this point without each other’s support. We literally came from working from the couch, to now having a dedicated core team and a satisfied and growing clientele.
As a small core group embracing challenges and navigating big-business pursuits, we want to be a reminder to all that the road to growth of a business is never an easy one. However, with a strong vision, and confidence in your product and team, anyone can reach imagined heights.
We want our business and other community neighbors to appreciate our CORE VALUES:
Diligence – We are relentless in the pursuit of excellence in service and performance.
Dependability – We are approachable, reliable and trustworthy with the affairs of all customers.
Determination – We are persistent in achieving success for all of our clients.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would certainly show friends around Atlanta, and would visit the CNN center, the King Center, the Coca Cola Museum, the Georgia Aquarium, the Southern Center for Human Rights. Chattanooga is a place our family has visited often and enjoyed the train rides. I would want them to feel the broad diversity of the Atlanta area so they could better appreciate that expansive diversity is what has made this metro region so progressively and commercially great.
I would take them to dine in a few of our excellent Indian restaurants in the area. We would spend quality-time at home, watch movies and cook from scratch. Dosa, idli, biryani, and curries would certainly be on the menu.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Yes, there are several people whom I would like to recognize. I would like to thank family members and name the team members who make my professional life meaningful. I want to thank the Vendorship team for contributing to a meaningful experience in the business world. Moving from a start-up to a corporate environment requires dedication, discipline, commitment, trust, and true and loyal team players. I would like to name them here; Madhu Chatterji, Sabine Genet, Susan Pulla, Seema Kohli, Remya Raju, Rajan Luthra, Ravi Sahani, Roland Washington , Dr. Neel, Vivek Furtado and a significant list of advisors and friends, as well as our clients, for their confidence in us.
