We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffine Croom and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tiffine, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
When people look at my life and all that has taken place I want one word to come to mind and that is “perseverance”. I want my legacy to be one of strength, integrity, humility, commitment and determination.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a certified weight management specialist/ personal trainer. A certified weight management specialist is like the total package, we don’t just stop in the gym. We not only assist with weight loss but also with healthy weight gain. I am not limited by any means in what I can help my clients achieve. I am the owner/ceo of Body Moves Fitness and Apparel, LLC. I started by business after battling with issues of obesity of my own. During my journey I started logging and video taping my workouts. I began posting them on social media in the hopes to encourage other people that might just be on the same path that I was on and to let them know that no matter what the challenges or circumstances may be that they too can overcome them. I started my online support group “Body Moves” and the response I received was mind-blowing on how many other people were on the same journey. And that is how my passion/ business was birthed. The apparel end of it started from realizing that when I looked good on the outside in my clothing that my workouts were better. I put forth more effort. It was a confidence booster. “Look good, feel good, get better results”. Starting my business was not easy at all. I was clueless. I am a nurse of 15 years and I know anyone in the fitness industry. I had to rely on my family and friends who have started their own businesses to help guide me with the basic things such as how to file with my current state and get an EIN number. One of the biggest challenges for me is I personally don’t know anyone that has a fitness business, so it continues to take a lot of studying, hard work and dedication to learn this industry. I am steady educating myself and building everyday. It doesn’t stop. The main lesson that I have learned along the way is that if you don’t have a change of “mindset” you will never be successful. Everything you do starts in the “mind”. The old saying goes “If you do what you’ve always done, you will continue to get what you’ve always got”. You can apply that to every aspect of your life not just fitness. What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that I am “authentic”. What you see is what you get. There are no smoke and mirrors to what I do or what I have to offer. I am a single mom of 3, a nurse and a business owner. I work hard daily to teach my children and my clients that no matter what you want to accomplish it will take hard work and dedication. Nothing is given to you. Stand behind what you believe in and with a vision and a plan anything is possible to achieve.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m laughing as I answer this because my first thought of a good time always goes to the GYM! LOL. I am a really simple, laid back person so I don’t “hangout” much. And with covid it’s made it very hard to get out and enjoy yourself. But I love to go and listen to live bands and participate in karaoke! I live in a small town so we usually travel to find entertainment. Anywhere there is music that’s where I want to be. Music speaks to my soul and is a huge aspect of my everyday life. So to be honest most of my friends and I have “zoom dates”. We decide on our meals, get a glass of wine, turn up our favorite songs and have an awesome time just enjoying each other as much as possible within our current circumstances.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Yes! I would love to shout out my family, friends, children and most of all my FITNESS CLIENTS! None of this would be possible without there love and continued dedication. I would not be where I am without them and I am forever grateful.
