We had the good fortune of connecting with Lanasia Angelina and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lanasia, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success and the success of my brand is faith. Everything that I am and that my company is, is a manifestation of simply believing in God’s promise and completing the actions that reflect my belief.

Before I had even known what a coach was, I began taking steps to learn more about it because it was revealed to me that I was called to serve at this capacity. Before I had ever helped one person, I believed that it could be done and that I was the one to do it. Before I had ever secured one client or partnership, I could see the vision. Before I ever had a team, I prayed for God to align me with the people that I needed to carry out the mission. And today, my agency has not yet made our mark in international territory but I can confidently tell you that it’s happening because my faith tells me so.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Rise Coaching is a mindset specialty life coaching agency that serves to take the guesswork out of personal development for young professionals and corporations. Our training, speaking and coaching services offer the solution to every problem that limits individuals from experiencing a more prosperous, fulfilled and balanced life. Rise Coaching was founded in 2017 with the mission to help young professionals overcome the limitations of their minds in order to create more fulfilling experiences within their personal lives and their careers.

Personal life coaching has been proven to have significant impacts on success because it helps people to become more adaptable to change, communicate more effectively, identify clarity of their purpose and establish a stronger sense of self-worth.

Rise Coaching differs from other agencies because our team of certified coaches are also Nuero Linguistic Programming Practitioners. NLP Practitioners use a method of personal development through promoting skills, such as self-reflection, confidence, and communication. Practitioners have applied NLP commercially to achieve work-orientated goals, such as improved productivity or job progression.

Through coaching, training and speaking, we support our clients in creating long-term sustainable change within their lives by helping them to identify limiting beliefs that hinder growth and success using our RI.S.E. Framework for transformational change..

*****How did I get started?

I started coaching while operating my non-profit that helped youth to develop their leadership skills by helping them to establish a sense of self-worth. The work I did as a mentor and leader of that organization over the years, positioned me to walk in purpose and calling as a coach.

*****Was it easy?

Not a chance! It’s still quite challenging most days, mostly because of my impatience; seeing the vision clearly and eating it now. But what my company offers is quite unique and it took me some time to embrace the fact this was our value proposition. I always found myself trying to fit in and be accepted but that desire for validation and approval truly hindered my growth in many ways and even worse, I wasted so much time being afraid that I missed out on the opportunity to serve so many people. I’m sure of it Once I was able to rise above the limiting belief that others had to understand the vision or that it had to resemble something else that already existed, I took off. Partly why I rebranded the company from Rise & Be Great to just rise Coaching. Everything that the Rise Coaching team does, from helping our clients to overcome their mental limitations to overcoming our own enables us to elevate.

*****How did I overcome those challenges?

Faith & Hard Work
Taking steps into unknown territory in pursuit if a vision is not the easiest thing to do at times for me. But when I remind myself of He who works within me, all fear, self-doubt, worry and confusion disappear. The most important relationship that I have is the one that I share with The Holy Spirit. I trust that He is leading my path and I do my part by improving my skillset and executing consistently. I always say that nothing breeds confidence like competence and consistency. Yes, God has given us all a special gift but it’s important that we cultivate that gift daily so that we don’t make Him out to be a liar. My number one focus is to please God so yeah time I’m afraid to hear “No” or just not feeling motivated, I simply remind myself that this work is not about me and I find a way over, around and through every single challenge that presents itself.

******What are songs says that “You’d be hard pressed to find an elite achiever who doesn’t have a coach assisting them within some key area of their lives.” No matter if you’re an entry level professional or a CEO of a Fortune 500 company, there will always be a greater level. Rise coaching helps to facilitate the growth that is required to tap into that next level by helping people to reach beyond their perceived limitations and me lessons that I learned along the way?

Our mindset is our greatest asset.

“I am the only problem that I will ever have and I am the solution” is one of my favorite quotes by Bob Proctor. Developing this attitude has given me the ability to move mountains. The best thing about problems is that they all come with solutions; and if you have the proper mindset, you’ll always be lead to the answers that you need to get to your next level.

Coaching is not optional; It’s essential. Everyone NEEDS a coach.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I live in Detroit but some of my favorite places to go is downtown. My favorite restaurant is Parc that sits right in the center of Campus Martius. Next, I’d go to enjoy drinks at The Candy Bar inside of The Siren Hotel because it’s really low-key and quant.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?

I attribute much of who I am today to witnessing this very close embodiment of power and perseverance. Her boldness encouraged me to live out loud, unapologetically and taught me how to be assertive in my endeavors without fear of judgment.
