We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie Saddler and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Stephanie, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I’ve always been a girl who lived against the norm. I have always looked forward to new adventures daily, so a 9-5 desk job was not for me (believe me. I tried it!) lol. I also strongly believe in small businesses and investing in them. I also strongly for investing in yourself! As a mom, and a wife I needed something for me. So I made the jump!
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
So my entire life I have always been into art. I come from a super artistic family. between artists, and musicians. It was never a dull moment in my family. when I was younger I wanted to be a singer so bad. Well until I learned quickly that was not going to happen. Because surprise I’m not a good singer lol! But from as far back as I could remember I was always drawing, painting, writing poems, and writing songs. As I grew older I picked up makeup. now I’m in love! I enjoy making people happy, and feel good. I love seeing that smile in the mirror when they first see themselves. I especially love the conversations that are had during the session. God has definitely blessed me by putting me in a position where I can make someone feel their best.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am going to answer this question as if it were pre Covid. So 1 of my first stops would definitely be medieval times! I love that place. I’m 5 years old when I’m there lol. My husband thinks I’m crazy because I can go there 5 times a year, hear the same story line each time, and still get just as excited! its 1 of my favorite places to take people. kids and adults. I’m a foodie so definitely Jimmy’z Kitchen in Marietta, Chuey’s, Poblanos Mexican Grill, Copelands in Kennesaw, Henry’s Louisiana Grill, Capos in Acworth, Tasty Bakery Cafe in Kennesaw, Fern Gully Jamaican Cafe, Papi’s Cuban & Caribbean Grill, a local gem Stilesboro Biscuits in Kennesaw, The Marietta Local, The Nest Kennesaw, & Frozen Cow Creamery in Kennesaw. It has the best apple pie ice cream. if you haven’t tried it you need to. OMG I’m sorry. that’s a lot of food places. Kennesaw mountain is the must! Even if you don’t walk it and just drive to the top. We would definitely have to visit the beautiful Qualusi Vineyards. I know a movie theatre sounds simple but I LOVE Studio movie grill in Marietta. its clean, comfortable, and the foods always good! I absolutely love my church, and its so important to me I would definitely want to bring my visitors there. Liberty Church in Marietta. Its the church with all the flags! Anywhere in ATL honestly! we have so much going on here! Between the Coca Cola factory (I love it!}, all the museums we have to offer, the zoo, the aquarium, the sports. There is literally something for everyone here.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I am a firm believer in buying small, local, and BIPOC! But my heart is for buying Latinx owned. As a proud Latina its so important to me to invest in my community, and help promote those businesses. I love my people, I love our culture, and I want my children to feel the same. I am determined to leave a legacy for my children. So shout out to my ancestors! Shout out to my amazing mom and grandmother! I’m so thankful for yall! Thank you for all the blood, sweat, and tears you put in to allow me to be where I am today! Viva Puerto Rico!
