Meet J.T. Lee | Music Instructor and owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with J.T. Lee and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi J.T., what do you attribute your success to?
I can genuinely say that the biggest key to our success as a company comes first and foremost from God and secondly from our community of supporters. Our students, their families, and our many business partners are very vocal about the impact that our teachers have on our students, and the artists we work with.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I started playing music at the Age of 10 or 11. Probably the greatest influence on my work ethic and attitude came from my middle school band teacher Andy David. He taught me to carry myself with excellence, even in the early stages. That attitude pushed me to treat every student as if they were the next big star; to see potential of who they could be over where they were. Through the years, I’ve worked for a few great lessons studio managers who taught me a number of lessons, both on what to do and what not to do. I’ve been so thankful for the opportunities to learn and grow, and to shape a vision for what our company would look like. The past year of being on my own has been tough, and as I’ve gone through the hiring process, the marketing process and every other aspect of owning a business, I’ve been able to draw on past experiences as well as my faith to overcome each obstacle that has arisen. That plus a few amazing opportunities to work with some incredible coaches have seriously helped me find ways to rise above each challenge thrown my way.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
